Cottage Rules:
Fire Safety: Please check the local or provincial fire rating before starting a fire. Camp fires should be created in our designated campfire areas; If you are staying in the Heron's Hideaway/Cottage 6 you may use the fire pit in front of Cottage 6 by the Muskoka chairs. All other guests are welcome to use the large fire pit on the Granite Rock Point with plentiful seating and excellent stargazing).
Please follow all safety tips for hosting a campfire and thoroughly extinguished your fire before leaving the area.
Children must be supervised at all times and most notably on the granite rock point, in the water, and on the beach.
Please also note that there are 167 acres of primarily forested land on the property so be mindful of what the kids are getting up to as they enjoy exploring nature :)
Restrictions for pets: We love pets and appreciate that some folks look forward to travel with their furry loved ones. Please help us continue to be able to invite furry friends to the cottage by acting as a responsible and empathetic pet parent. Pets must be on a leash when outside. Pets should not be left alone inside cottages for long periods of time. Please do not leave pets tied up outside for long periods of time. Pet owners are responsible for cleaning up pet waste in a plastic bag and disposing of this in the garbage. Please also bring a pet bed or blanket to cover any surfaces pets will enjoy snoozing on.
Additional: Please no smoking inside cottages.
If smoking outside, please collect cigarette butts and ash in an appropriate ashtray and safely dispose of these ashes prior to your departure.
Please keep noise to a minimum to ensure an enjoyable stay for all guests.
Please limit the number of visitors you have or consider booking all cottages if you are planning on hosting a large event or get together. Our cottages have hosted everything from engagement parties to birthdays to family reunions and more. Ask us for more information and book early :)
